LMP: A Hike to the Grand Traditional Cache

The entrance and parking lot for Hogback North are located .3-.4
miles east of Bates Road or approx 1 mile west of County Line Road,
just off St Route 307 ( on the south side). The hike is approx 3/4
mile one way. Please STAY ON the gravel trail to its terminus at
the Grand River. The cache will be NW of the end of the trail, just
above the flood plain.The walk from the end of the gravel trail to
the cache will be muddy at times so wear approriate footware.
Hogback North is used by the CAMBA (Cleveland Area Mountain Bike
Association) and there are many dirt bike trails througout the
park. Please don't attempt this cache if hiking up a long hill is a
problem for you. Enjoy the view of the Grand River and the Hogback
(the high ridge across the river) that LMP Hogback Ridge is named
after. There are two park benches at the Grand River Viewpoint to
sit and enjoy the view, but no restroom facilities exist in this
rural park. Take your canine companion along on this and my other
LMP caches.
