Geocache Description:

A micro on the Esker Trail in the DRLT

If you park at the Gregg Woods trailhead and time allows stay to the left at the trail intersection, it will add only a few minutes to your walk and you will be rewarded with a great view as you come to "Berit's Sete". From here it's just a couple hundred feet to the cache.

As you make your trek to the cache you may be tricked into thinking you are walking an old railroad bed but this is actually an esker, a natural formation caused glacial deposits.

The DRLT has been a favorite area of ours for hiking, biking and cross country skiing for some time now. It's trails are well maintained and there is very little need for CITO but in my many walks I've often wondered how I could leave a positive impact on the land. So I began to reconstuct some of the old rock walls by replacing just one rock for each time I was there. At this particular spot I noticed that the wall made a nice resting spot and decided it would be a good place for a cache. So here you have it "Hakawee's Seat" Enjoy the trails, WTH
