Union Grove Vetrain's Committee has built a Beautiful Memorial.
A Poem,
If the eyes are indeed
a window to the soul,
then in the eyes of each veteran
there's a story to be told.
They have seen so many things
and they did what must be done,
knowing full well there is no winner,
even if the war was won.
For a child can lose a parent
a mother has lost her son,
a wife becomes a widow
in the firing of a gun.
They have been so many places
where we will never go,
and they understand things
that we'll never know.
They carry in their hearts
memories they would like to forget,
they know the price of freedom
is a very costly debt.
May God always bless our veterans
as they have answered duty's call.
They have given us so very much,
