Abbeystead - Bridge Traditional Cache
Team-SK: We have decided to put the rest of our Abbeystead series to bed. It was great whilst it lasted, a lovely area. We'll miss having the caches here. We will come and retrieve them as soon as possible.

This cache is part of a series set around Abbeystead. The whole series takes about 2 and a half hours. This container is very small so you will need to bring your own pencil.
This is a bridge over the Marshaw Wyre.
Abbeystead is a small, picturesque village located in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Abbeystead is derived from "The site of the Abbey" and relates to the short-lived presence of a house of Cistercian monks in the reign of Henry II. The traditional site of the monks' house is just below the junction of the Marshaw Wyre and the Tarnbrook Wyre, on the north side of the reservoir.
Congratulations to 'campdave' for getting their first FTFs!
