From here I use to go down into the valley to Warden Lake to birdwatch. Warden Lake is choked with bulrushes and Laguna Lake further down the valley use to look like this until dredged out and deepened for the housing development.
Los Osos Valley, or the valley of the bears. I was told that long ago the grizzlies use to rest beneath the oaks on the hiilsides, then amble down to these lakes to forage.
