The Roxburgh Branch (Railway) Series.
"The Evans Flat Loop"
The Remains of the Stockyards
These stockyards were part of the complex that comprised the Evans Flat station.
The cache is placed roadside very close to where the Evans Flat railway station building and platform used to be.
Of the many stations that existed on this branch line the physical evidence of only two remain, here and at Millers Flat.
The remains of the concrete platform here are about 30m into the paddock. This is, for the time being, on private property so please do not go looking without the owner's permission. You can take my word for it though, it's there. I was taken in to see it as it cannot been seen from the road. When I get a chance I will take a photograph.
The proposed bike/walk trail from Roxburgh to Lawrence and onwards will pass within touching distance of it.
The muggles who signed the log were my guides to the area on the day the cache was hidden. They are not the FTFs !!!!!!!!
The container is now a 200ml Klipit
Please replace exactly as found and seal well to prevent water getting in again.
