Geocache Description:

Jazz 1994 to 2010

I am Jazz, the loving companion of my dear owners for 16 long and wonderful years. My story began back in 1994 in Quito, Ecuador when I was picked up from a pet shop among other fun loving Cockers, but they knew I was the only one that will bring happiness into their home.

I grew up as a loving, caring puppy, among my amazing family; I saw places that not many other dogs will ever get to see; ate the food that any dog will wish to eat and I can honestly say “I lived a dog’s life”.I was Auyantepuy’s loyal companion when he was 15 years old and I used to travel inside his backpack to school as well to many other places. I never slept alone, as he fought for my right to sleep in a bed as any other member of the family. We truly went places and kept each other company when left alone at home.

As time passed by and I became a very big part of this family, my mother decided to make me the queen of the universe as she stills calls me that today. Yeah, I know I was a spoiled puppy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way LOL. I wasn’t your typical Cocker Spaniel, as I behaved more like a regular kid with all the good and bad stuff that your normal child will do, but that just made my owners love me even more.

My addiction for chicken began as a young puppy, all kinds of birds looked and tasted like chicken to me so as many of you might image one of my favorite sports was to chase as many of them as I could all over. I was lucking enough to own a park back in Quito, Ecuador in which many of my earliest adventures began among my family, a park that brought all of us great memories of long past happy days. Shortly after I became a K9 Model (to my father’s camera) but my carrier was a bit short as one day my owners decided to pack up and take a long trip to Miami, FL which became the second chapter of my long doggy live.

I arrived to Miami in July of 1996 a bit scared as it was my first and only time on an airplane, but at soonest I saw my family I knew it all was ok. Once settled in our new home, my adventures with Auyantepuy began once again, together we saw many lakes, rode bike on his lap and bushedwhacked many interesting places near our home, I can say that I was the happiest dog in the city.

Time passed and as we all get older Auyantepuy decided it was time be on his own. Now I which was his noble companion for so many years (doggy years) decided it was time to fulfill a new job in our family which was to be the most important pet and daughter to my loving mom. I can honestly tell you that I gave them infinite love as longest as I could.

Age was catching up with me since Nature was a bit unfair to our human owners by giving us such little time on this planet while they stay here much longer once we are gone. My senior years were the best that an old dog could ask for, at 12 years old I was still running around chasing my ball and all the chickens on my back yard (ducks) All the vets were always very proud of me as I was in the best of shapes for an old doggy like myself.

Years kept on coming and both of my mom and dad decided it was time for me to have a more special care as father time and mother nature were putting their weight on me, I became the most well taken care of senior dog in the whole South FL.

As an old doggy I never suffer pain that they could not relieve, I was never cold as they kept me under their arms at night, I was never short on any kind of medications or medical care that I need it as their were always there for me, I made them happy all the time with my grey face and my caramel color body . Yes I did lived a happy life among them.

One day on November 29 2010 I got really sick as father time was gaining on my old but happy body, this day all of my family rushed me to the hospital not so worry at first since it was not the first time that I had been in such place and came back home with no much more harm than a pill bottle, but this time such happy ending will not come to be as the doctor calls them to come and see me for one last time as my time to cross the rainbow has come. Needless to say my mom was in tears, as well my loving bother which he has brought my niece Hazel to accompany me as well on my final farewell.

I was in no pain nor was I scared to go as my family was all around me and I knew that after 16 long wonderful years it was time for me to watch them from the sky and to keep company to the elders of the clan which they were waiting for me as I gave my last breath and I felt for the last time my brother’s hands on my little but joyful heart. Yes it was time for me to leave them in a physical matter yet never in their hearts or their thoughts for one day we will all sea each other once more, as for now I will watch over and keep company to grandpa, Pelusa and Tango here over there rainbow where I am now.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our beloved Jazz or Jazzina as we used to call her, this is a very special cache to me as it was hidden with the help of my mother and it is a very special cache for her as well, not a day goes by that we do not keep her in our hearts, not a day goes by that we do speak of what she used to do or what she meant for us.

We decided to pick this great park for her cache, since it became a special place for the whole family not too long ago, we are sure that she is where her ammo can is hidden, enjoy the trails and respect nature at all times.

This cache is mainly for dog lovers therefore the FTF prize is a BIG bag of doggy cookies (Hazel’s donation from her own stash), we have doggy theme swag items on this cache and would love to keep it that way, so please if you like to trade an item leave only dog items for all of our loving geo k9 to enjoy, there is also a small photo of Jazz inside the log please is not a trade item do not take it, what we would love for you to do with it will be to take a photo of your geo dog and Jazz for us to enjoy, not required but greatly appreciated if you.

Thank you for visiting Jazz I am sure she is wagging her tail as you sign the log, enjoy the cache, good hunting and good luck to all.

As of 06/01/20 this cache is no longer an ammo can as it has gotten muggled too many time, please re hide as found or better.
