Bungonia National Park
This is an adventure cache requiring specialised skills, knowledge and equipment to get to. You need to be well prepared to go abseiling.
All GeoCachers MUST register at the park office prior to locating the cache. There’s a visitor registration book located at the verandah to record your intention to canyon.
Al participants must ensure that the park day use fees are paid – currently $7 per vehicle. There’s a ticket machine located in the carpark at the park office.
The camping area nearby is very well equipped. Fees apply. Caravan park style toilet block, dining/kitchen room with gas hot plates and room heater. Gas BBQs under shelters located in various locations. Apart from abseiling, there's plenty of caves, a great canyoning spots and quite a few marked trails for hiking.
This location is known as Hogan's Wall. Excellent abseiling spot for novice and experienced. Park staff have installed secure artificial anchor points to use to minimise damage to the environment. Please use these whereever possible.
