Pfarrkirche zum hl. Apostel Thomas
Die Tulfer Pfarrkirche St. Thomas wird erstmals in einer Urkunde des Stiftsarchives Wilten aus dem Jahre 1332 erwähnt. 1333 wird der „pro Capella S. Thomae“ ein Ablass von 40 Tagen verliehen und 1486 wurde der Friedhof eingeweiht. Der heutige Turm wurde 1718 erbaut, während die Kirche selbst spätgotisch ist. Der Hochaltar stammt aus dem Jahr 1724. Das schöne Altarbild schuf der Haller Maler Alois Reisacher. Die Freskenmalereien an der Decke stammen von den Gebrüdern Giner aus Thaur und wurden 1839 von Barthlmä Mayr und Andreas Nocker aus Rinn renoviert. Die südliche Außenwand der Kirche ziert ein großer Hl. Christophorus im Stile des 16. Jahrhunderts.
Der Cache befindet sich in der Nähe des Grabs von Adelheid von Habsburg (3. Jänner 1914 – 2. Oktober 1971), Tochter der letzten Kaiserin von Österreich. In den 30iger Jahren war Tulfes die erste Gemeinde, die Otto von Habsburg die Ehrenbürgerschaft verlieh. Aus Dank dafür, ließ sich Adelheid Maria von Habsburg in Tulfes beerdigen.

Parish church of holy apostle Thomas
The parish church of holy apostle Thomas in Tulfes is first referenced in a document in the year 1332. In 1333 the “pro capella S. Thomae” is granted an indulgence of 40 days and in 1486 the sanctification of cemetery took place. The current tower was built in 1718. Tthe church however is late gothic. The high altar is from the year 1724. The beautiful altar picture has been created by the painter Alois Reisacher from Hall. The painted frescos on the ceiling are from the Giner brothers from Thaur and have been renovated by Barthlmä Mayr and Andreas Nocker in the year 1839. On the southern wall you can find a large painting of holy christophorus in 16th century style.
The cache is placed near the grave of Adelheid of Habsburg (3rd January 1914 – 2nd October 1971), daughter of the last empress of Austria. In the 30´s Tulfes was the first village who granted Otto of Habsburg the honorary citizenship. As a courtesy of this gesture, Adelheid Maria of Habsburg wanted to be buried at the cemetery of Tulfes.
