February 27, 2010 was the realization of a 40 year old dream.
The City and Rural Municipalities of Portage la Prairie officially
open the PCU Centre to the public with a celebratory ribbon cutting
ceremony at 11:00 a.m.
The PCU Centre is one of the largest, most modern multi-purpose
recreation facilities built in Manitoba in recent history. It is
home to two NHL regulation size arenas, an aquatic centre featuring
Manitoba’s largest wave pool, a 4,000 square foot fitness
centre equipped with new cardio and resistance training machines, a
230 person multipurpose room, a variety of meeting rooms, skate
sharpening services, food services and recreation staff
offices.
