Can
you believe it? It is that time of year again. The time
of year when all the folks from all over the state of Florida
gather on Merritt Island to help celebrate one of the finest group
of cachers in the land. We would like to invite all of our
friends from all the organizations around the state to help us
celebrate 4 strong years. No matter if you are from
NEFGA, TOGGA,
TAG,
FGA,
SOFLO,
CFLAG or anywhere else in the state we would love to have you
join us in our celebration. Everyone is more than
welcome. We know you are just as proud of your group as we
are ours.
This
years event will take place at Manatee Cove Park on North Merritt
Island. There are several caches in the park and plenty more
nearby. This is a great park for us to have this event at
since there are actually a few shade trees, playground next to the
pavilion and one of the best places to view Manatees. You can
launch your Kayak from this park and float with the Manatees.
There are a couple of nearby island caches that you can grab as
well.
Once
again this year we will be honored to have Dudeswithjeeps cooking
up the main course. If you have ever had any of their cooked
meat you know it is to die for. They will provide the main
course consisting of Pulled Pork or something similar as well as
Chicken. They will also make the Potato Salad, Baked Beans
and Coleslaw. We will provide the paper products and water
but need you to provide bread, drinks, sweets and anything else you
might like to share.
Not
only will we have DWJ's famous BBQ we are honored once again to
have the best emcee in the land...that's right IMTOMCAT will once
again be providing the music and entertainment for the day.
If you have ever seen him in action you know there is nobody
better.
We
are hoping to have our newest SCGA 2011 geocoin by then but not
sure if we are going to make the deadline or not. We will
however have our latest signature item on hand. There will be
our regular table of goodies for folks to get in on that we will be
giving away as well as one very special item that is to be announce
