Lost Boot Beach Traditional Cache

Large Ammo box on trail overlooking Mystic Beach.
After our first hike here we thought this trail deserved another Cache. On our first trip, our "helpful" (input sarcarstic tone) 11 year old daughter decided to wash the sand off her younger sisters boots in the surf before the hike back. Moments later we only had one boot for the muddy walk back. Dad was forced to carry a 6 year old the 2 km back to the Van, leaving a lasting memory and a sore back. Plan for a 5 km hike round trip, trails can be muddy, but are well marked. Also, check the tide tables, I recommend coming at low tide, you can walk further down the beach to the falls. The cache is easily accessable from an existing trail, no bushwacking necessary. Enjoy the hike, and think about bringing spare footware in your pack for the kids. oddly enough when we were out gain on the 22nd of April we found the other boot .... what are the odds? This is also the starting point for my first travel bug.
