Geocache Description:

Makamakaole Stream ("13 Crossings") is about a mile hike into a hidden valley.. ends at a very nice waterfall.

The trail head is located 8/10 mile west of mile marker 7 on highway 340. except .. Mile markers "6" and "7" are reported as gone. So drive 2.8 miles past mile marker "5" on highway 340. There is room for two cars to park right at the entrance to the trail head; which our GPS noted the coordinates for this "parking location" as: N 20 57.500 W156 32.085 (elevation 813 ft.).
The hike will take you about an hour to get there and back.. when you get to the 12th crossing of the stream there is a fork in the stream.. go to the RIGHT ..
I lived on Maui for 28 years and never knew this waterfall existed .. Found out about it from a posting on Facebook .. I went with my kids so we did not explore what was above the falls if you climb the rope ..

EXTRA MISSION: If you do this cache and your adventurous.. can you go above the falls .. past the geocache climbing the rope and report what is above? Is there another waterfall if you keep going? try climbing up and then go up awhile and report what you find here thanks ..Just wondering if there Is another waterfall a swimming holeif we kept going up?

Can not really swim at the bottom falls .. Too shallow ..
