Geocache Description:

This is the 7th cache in Corwin Nixon Pine Hills Lake Park
Large Official Geochche container.
Find is not real hard but there are bushes to go through on the way and some have stickers.
About 80 feet off a paved trail used by a lot of muggles.
Could hold a small trackable.
The cache is near the edge of the depression left when a pond was drained. No need to go into the depression.

This park was originally a family farm. Terman(TC) Lamar and George(GK) Howard decided in the early 50's that they could make more money in recreation than farming. They dammed the creek to make a lake and built a swimming pool below the dam.

They sold fishing permits, rented shelter houses and picnic tables,. and operated the pool.

In 57 and 58 I worked as a lifeguard and did other jobs around the park.

GK lived in a large farmhouse just to the left of the entrance from Kings Mills Rd. TC lived in the second floor of the lake concession stand which was about where the shelter now stands.

The name of the cache comes from the 3 ponds they built to grow fish to stock the lake. They are gone but still show up on the Geocaching Google Map. Once or twice some of us lifeguads swam there.
