Nice day for a drive in a scenic area isn't it? Well, this series is for you! Containers vary along the way and this series is designed to highlight various areas along the way. Looking for a nicely hidden ammo can here.

Welcome to the It's A Nice Day For A Drive Series, this series is designed to give you a nice drive with scenic views and some caching along "backroads" of the Coulee Region. The first leg will take you along the Great River Road and the second leg will start in New Albin, Iowa and take you up to Eitzen, Minnesota. All of the caches are located near/on paved roads for those of you with motorcycles and sports cars that want to take them for this series. Cache containers vary from location, but most will be similar containers. Hope you enjoy this and if you do let me know so that I can decide if I wish to extend the series on from Eitzen.

Driving along looking for spots to place caches in this series when we spied the sign showing this location. Well.. that works for us to place a cache to break up the journey between New Albin and Eitzen!! So, welcome to a hidden area of the Richard J. Dorer State Forest! the Gordon Recreational Area, I'm not sure what the plans are for this area as I couldn't find anything online about it, but most of the other recreational areas offer camping and picnic areas so I'm guessing that the future offers something along those lines. Rating it a bit higher due to the brush that you will encounter and the slight hillside adding to the difficulty.
