Come join your fellow cachers for this Special Edition LSOH,
benefiting the MidPeninsula Open Space District's upcoming Preserve
Circuit Geo-Challenge!
As always, this will be an afternoon of evil cache building and
story telling at Workerofwood's workshop. We will be providing
materials and inspiration as volunteers assemble several of the
caches for the District series (coming later this summer!)
Sunday afternoon, May 15th
Noon-4pm (or whenever everyone leaves)
You will find lots of workspace and tools, and get
feedback on your evil design dreams! Bring ammo boxes, tupperware
and any other odd little containers you can find. I will have some
supplies on hand, as well as saws, drills, sanders and glue. If you
have some interesting camo materials to share, bring 'em!
Drinks and snacks provided.
(If you are so inclined, bring a snack to share as
well!)
Due to the nature of this event (ie: lots
of folks playing with big power tools), this might not be the best
place for small kids... however, if they are independent and well
behaved, there is a fort out back that should occupy their
time!
More on how this works for first timers:
Bring materials you have to share- log sheets, baggies, unusual
camo, paint, beer.
Bring stuff you have to sell- group buys, camo paint, magnets, ammo
cans.
Bring stuff you need drilled, cut, sanded, painted, whatever.
Come for all or any part, it's informal and it's ok to drop in for
a few minutes.
Newbies- this is as low-key and easy as it gets, stop in and log
your first event! Then spend the rest of the day caching in the
neighborhood.
