Geocache Description:


Welcome to the Lake Texoma spillway. A geocache was placed at this spot by 9Key and later archived. With his blessing, I've recreated the listing.

The spillway has something for everybody - the technophiles, the civil engineers, the outdoors-men and nature enthusiasts, the historians, the graffiti artists and, of course, geocachers. It's definitely a sight to behold.

At 640 feet above sea level, the lake has crested the spillway three times, in 1957, 1990 and on July 7, 2007. The highest recorded lake level was at 644.76 feet on May 6, 1990.
