This puzzle is based on a card game called "Set". Players form sets of three cards. Card features include the number of items on a card, the shape, color and fill.
A set is formed when each feature on the three cards is either all the same OR all different (all red OR all different, all stripes or all different, all diamonds or all different, all with two items or all different, etc.). If you need more guidance, here's a link to the rules (click for rules).

Each of the cards has been numbered.
There's one set that includes card #9 with the 3 red, solid
ovals. Find that set and multiply the three numbers together. Multiply the result by 16. Subtract 16 from the total. This
number is A.
There are 2 sets that include the single, striped, red diamond (card #12). Find those two sets. Multiply all 6 numbers together then subtract 264. Divide the result by 6. This number is B.
