Lower Somersham covers an area of approximately 1000 acres and lies 5½ miles west of Ipswich in Suffolk, close to the small market towns of Hadleigh and Needham Market. A small stream runs to the north of the village. In the past, the footpaths of Somersham linked farms and neighbouring villages and there is still an excellent network of footpaths in the area, providing opportunities for extended circular walks. The footpath leading from Chapel Lane was once a track for driving livestock to the local cattle market, which used to be in nearby Hadleigh.
This cache is a continuation in the series, but can be done without attempting the more tricky first cache!
