How to find the way to start the tour to cache area?
Coming from Chania - Kalyves - Almeryda to Drapanos hold left on Waypoint 1.
Coming from Georgioupoli to Drapanos turn right on Waypoint 1. From here it is a short drive to Waypoint 2 with the parking area and to start the tour. Good shoes are necessary. Pass the door and enjoy the small way to the church Ag. Ioannis. Here the way ends. Now follow the animal path down to the sea. (Animals prefer not the dangerous ways if possible, so we did as well) After caching follow the easy cement road up to the fence. On the road turn left till reaching the parking area (max. 10 minutes).
For those who do not like to hike here is an alternative way to the cache area.
Go by car from Waypoint 2 straight ahead to Waypoint 3. Here you can open a fence door and drive down on a dirt cement road to the sea.
The Cache:
The cache is a small one with a logbook. We think it is not too difficult to find although the coordinates are not very stable. We classified the difficulty with a 2 and the terrain for the full hiking tour with 4.
