This mystery-cache requires you to learn more about the Beckman Institute, located on the northern edge of the University of Illinois campus. Arnold Beckman was a chemist who attended the University of Illinois, later inventing the pH meter and establishing the Shockley Semiconductor Laboratory, which was the first silicon device manufacturing company in Silicon Valley. Beckman collaborated with noted scientists such as Linus Pauling, Robert Millikan, and William Shockley.
The posted coordinates take you to a viewing area for this impressive building. Once you arrive at the coordinates, you will use information from around this building to determine the final cache coordinates. Entering the building is not required, but is encouraged during normal business hours.
After arriving near the posted coordinates, you should be able to solve the following puzzle:
A = Year the building was completed according to signage, 4th digit
B = Year the time capsule will be opened, 3rd digit minus first digit
C = Exciting month for time capsule enthusiasts, first digit
D = Year the University of Illinois was chartered, 3rd digit
E = Number of letters in Mrs. Beckman's first name
F = Number of glass "towers", counted looking north from posted coordinates
