A bit of history no longer used.
This is a nice little garden spot close by an old piece of history. This piece of equipment was used by crews to rest, do paperwork and also to signify that this was the end of the train. With the introduction of FREDs (flashing rear-end device/end-of-train device; often referred to by railroad companies as an EOTD, an acronym for "end of train device"), the caboose was no longer necessary.
The cache is located behind the railroad car in a little park. There is a fence to keep all away from the railroad line located right behind this park. If you rest on the small green and black bench, you will be very close to the hide. The cache hides in a nearby location. Look around and if you get backed into a "corner" you might be really close.
