Geocache Description:

This is the second in a series of caches designed for families to find. They are all near play areas, so once you've found the cache, the kids can go and play at the park.

You can park on the side of the road (named Lower Common) and the play park is visible.

This park is a small wooded area and tends to only be frequented by local families. The terrain is flat, but going into the woods, there is heavy leaf fall.

The cache is a plastic snap shut container with enough room for some goodies and a log book. Be careful when you are hunting for it as you may have some young muggles playing in the wooded area (have a go at building some dens whilst you are here!)

The play area is dappled by pine trees and is lovely and cool in Summer time. There is a grassed area for you to picnic on whilst the kids play on the zip wire, swings, climbing equipment, and go rooting around in the woods.

The cache is a 4" square plastic container with a few goodies inside for the kids to swap with their own treasures.

When you have finished, trundle down to the bottom of Lower Common and you'll find the River Blackwater crosses the road to make a ford. You can park at a small turnaround here, and cross the bridge to the New Mill pub.( There is also another cache located here - GC1KNDG - sited by Amayatom). It is an idyllic spot, and you can often watch the horses crossing the ford.
