Stroke and Turn at B-Q P Traditional Cache
GrandpaGene: 178 finds since April 2011 and the log that had hidden the ammo can has almost rotted away. It has fought the good fight and so it must go down. So let it be written; so let it be done.

The ONLY way to get to the cache is from the pool parking lot on Duke Street which makes getting the cache during pool season - Memorial Day to Labor Day in the afternoon or evening almost impossible. The "NO TRESSPASSING" sign which used to be at the entrance to the parking lot is now at the pool gate.
When we moved here in 1979 the pool invited us to join and our kids soon became members of the swim team, so for some 14 years the summer revolved around summer swim team. Then grandchildren began to compete, perhaps urged on by their parents. Mickie took the training to be a stroke and turn judge in addition to having been timer and team parent while I acted as timer, assistant starter, pool board member, and later, cook.
The ammo can has an assortment of swag, to include some painted pill bottle cache containers, and the requisite Mickie Frog, Snake, and Lizard, as well as some other goodies.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS CACHE AT NIGHT. If you need a flashlight you are too early or too late!
From Memorial Day Saturday until the last day of public school in June pool is open ONLY on weekends. Pool Hours - 1-8 daily. Swim meets for 2015 are on 22 June and 13 July. Life Guards now know about cachers so it's fine if only pool officials are present.
There is at least one and maybe more neighborhood muggles who believe they are pool guards. Should you be stopped by one, be polite, but tell them that the cache is placed with the permission of the Pool Board and the CO is a neighbor and former Pool Board member. Tell them to come see me. The cache is placed with the permission of the Briar-Queen Pool Board.
If you are a Virginia cacher and would like to have a Virginia special geocaching license plate for your cachemobile, contact WckdSoul65@yahoo.com for more information
Congratulations to NY311fan for the second FTF in two days.
