Geocache Description:

Welcome to the third cache hide by treenz.team. We learnt of this spot from a local source and decided we would like to share this information.

The co-ordinates will bring you to what appears to be a very ordinary location - this is no ordinary tree however.

We have been told that during World War 2, the POW camps which contained thousands of internees just to the south of this location (Japanese, German and Italian), sent their prisoners to this area to tend crops such as tomatoes.

As the area is so flat the guards had to climb this tree in order to keep an eye on the prisoners, especially once the crops were tall and leafy.

If you look up the trunk of the tree you can clearly see the iron spikes used to scale the tree.

The cache you are looking for is a 400ml painted Sistema, hidden in a regular geocaching fashion. It contains a logbook, pencil, some small swaps and a scratchie for the first to find. There should be very few muggles in this area.
