The Tithe Barn is one of the country's finest examples of medieval monastic barns. A spectacular 14th century monastic stone construction, 51 metres (168ft) long, with an impressive timber cruck roof.
This listing - my first - begins at Easter. It should take no more than 30 mins from car door to car door, although you will probably want to stay for longer...
Access to the Tithe Barn itself is not necessary to find this cache, but is highly recommended as it really is quite something.
Opening hours vary, so please refer to the English Heritage website for the Tithe Barn.
Parking adjacent, charges apply from 8am - 6pm, Monday to Saturday. No charges outside these times. Parking also available at the train station nearby. Same parking charges and times apply.
Limited free parking available nearby on Pound Lane, the road leading to the site.
Stealth-mode required as this is a very popular area. Nettles guard the approach to the cache. ]:)
Please secure tightly afterwards (click shut).
Congratulations Half Man Half Eejit for being FTF!
