Parking for this cache can be accessed by coords: N 41° 56.383 W 073° 06.050. On the right side of Rt 44, 0.20 miles NW from the gated damn access road, take the dirt road on the right that veers off 44 into the woods, it starts right after you pass the merge sign on your right. Not available in the winter.
Many years ago, a ladyfriend brought me here for a quiet afternoon. She called it "Secret Lake" most likely because of its obscurity to the native townsfolk of Winsted. It's on the maps, but not by any name.
This trail will lead you through some areas that were trashed by people, so be cautious with your four-legged friends. Cache is a medium sized lock-n-lock.
