Geocache Description:

Come join us for a friendly get together with fellow geocachers before preparing for the long trek to GeoWoodstock IX! Nothing fancy-you will want to save your money for the festivities anyway!

Come with the family, bring a dish to pass. We will be meeting at Shelter 1. There are 2 grills at the shelter and others throughout the park, but bring your own if you like. We will bring burgers and dogs. Please list what you will be bringing so others will know what else is needed. The shelter does NOT have electricity so please plan heated dishes accordingly. Anyone drinking alcohol must be 21 or older, and no glass bottles. Please drink responsibly.

There is not a lot of room for caches in this park but there are others in the area (gladly looking for volunteers to place new ones!) This park is smack dab in the middle of a LOT of activity. Aside from the usually park-y stuff (swings, slides, sandboxes) there is also baseball diamonds, tennis courts, basketball courts, a track, and a large field for kite flying. Across the street are 2 public pools. Dogs are permitted in the park but must be leashed. There is a conveniece store nearby for any last minute items.

We will look to start the festivities at 11 am and see where it goes. Share stories, plan cache runs, arrange to meet up with friends at the following weeks events! Folks who are not planning to attend GWIX are more than welcome to attend. Come on out and meet your fellow cachers!
