The origional Gas Up at the Canal cache was archived to make room for the C&D trail caches. So this replacement was moved to the north side of the canal. It uses the same container and log book.
You can see the impressive structure of the north side tower for the gas pipeline that spans the canal. The short road up to this location is gated so you will have to take a short hike.
Be sure to check out the great views from this location that overlooks the canal. I think its much nicer location that the old south side Gas Up cache.
