It's April 23, 2011, and Woodland, CA has no letterbox hybrid caches. This is about to change.
UPDATE: new location and clues (June 30, 2013)
I was talking with JoyfulNomad about the beautiful mural at GC2APMC and knew this needed to be part of a letterbox hybrid. The stops for this cache are too far apart for a walk; it is probably best by [see attributes], but most will complete by car.
1. Start at the posted coordinates and enjoy the mural on the building to the west of here.
2. Count the number of people in the foreground of the photo. Ignore the workers distant in the field.
3. If the number of people is:
22, safely park near to N 38° 39.278 W 121° 43.734 and go there.
25, safely park near to N 38° 39.751 W 121° 43.730 and go there.
28, safely park near to N 38° 40.527 W 121° 43.723 and go there.
31, safely park near to N 38° 40.114 W 121° 43.725 and go there.
4. Now that you have gone to this location, you will be very close to a pole with an identifying code on it. Here, at right is an example (B627)--yours will be different. Write down the code for the pole at your location. (Write from left to right, even though the code appears from top to bottom.)
5. Replace all letters with numbers, using A=1, B=2, C=3, and so on; now you have your code.
6. Go to the angle at N 38° 3[Alpha].[Bravo][Charlie][Delta] W 121° 4[Echo].[Foxtrot][Golf][Hotel].
Alpha = the second digit from the right, plus 1
Bravo = the digit that appears most often
Charlie = the third digit from the right, plus 1
Delta = the number of digits in your code, plus 2
Echo = the first digit from the left (leftmost digit)
Foxtrot = the third digit from the left, plus 1
Golf = the fourth digit from the right, minus 2
Hotel = the second digit from the left, minus 2
7. You're at a place where the green is at an acute angle, or comes to a point. You should be able to rotate yourself to look at a metal structure pointing back at you. A tree will be nearby to your left. Look down two feet from the point. The cache is a camo'ed Regular container that JoyfulNomad donated to a recent event. Big-time thanks to JN for this hide; they donated the container, and even the cool stamp is from them. (Great caching karma to you!)
8. Sign your name or stamp your stamp in the log book--don't forget to include the date and a little something about the day, Woodland adventures, or this quest for Woodland's only--for now--letterbox hybrid! Please leave the stamp and pad in the cache--they are NOT swag. Thanks!
