The second in a series on useful non-indigenous trees that had
been introduced to the country, this 250ml cache is hidden in an
impressive stand of mature bluegums most immediately visible to
passing traffic this side of the mountain.
Blue gum & other trees were introduced from Australia to
make more timber available to local settlers. Blue gum still
contributes significantly to the country's forestry production, and
as out-of-season food supply for the bee populations needed by the
country's fruit growers.
