Gestein im Wald!
Die
Felsformation südöstlich von Wohnfeld
lässt auf eine vorchristliche Kultstätte schließen.
Solche Kultstätten findet man im Vogelsberg häufig.
Die Formation besteht aus drei Felsklippen,
die auf einer Länge von 200 Metern angeordnet sind.
Ungewöhnlich ist das Gestein, aus welchem
dieses Geotop gebildet wird, da es sich
in einem Basaltsteingebiet dem Vogelsberg befindet.
Das Gestein ist hellgrau und wird durch die
Verwitterung an der Oberfläche hellbraun.
Es handelt sich um mittelkörniges Gestein.
Micro-Diorit zählt zu den magmatischen Gesteinen.
Sie treten als wenig mächtige Intrusionen oder
als Gänge und Lagergänge auf.
Das heißt, daß das heiße Magma in anderes Gestein
eingedrungen ist oder sich ausgedehnt hat.
Nach der Erstarrung erfolgte durch Einwirkung heißer
wässriger
Lösungen eine weitgehende Umwandlung des Mineralbestandes.
Die Zusammensetzung des Micro-Diorit sind vorwiegend
mineralische Silikate, die unter anderem der Grund für die
Strucktur
der plattenförmigen Gesteinskörper sind. Teilweise sind die
Gesteinsplatten im Winkel bis zu 30° angeordnet.
Dieses
Gestein findet Verwendung in Schotter, Splitt oder
Pflastersteinen.
Um diesen
Earthcache zu loggen, vermesse ein Teil der Felsformation wie auf
dem Bild angegeben, beantworte die folgenden Fragen und sende mir
die Lösungen per mail.

Earth cache micro-diorite rock in the
woods!
The rock formation south of
Wohnfeld
suggests a pre-Christian place of worship.
Such shrines are found in Vogelsberg frequently.
The formation consists of three rocky
cliffs,
which are arranged along a length of 200 meters.
Unusual is the stone from which
Geotop this is formed, as it is
in a basalt area of the Vogelsberg.
The stone is light gray and about
the
weathering light brown on the surface.
It is medium-grained rock.
Micro-diorite is one of the igneous
rocks.
They appear as little powerful intrusions or
as corridors on.
That is, the hot magma in different stone
invaded, or has increased.
Following its solidification when exposed to hot aqueous
solutions have a far-reaching transformation of the mineral
inventory.
The composition of the micro-diorite are predominantly
mineral silicates, among other things, the reason for the
structure
the plate-shaped rock body. The stone slabs arranged at an
