Geocache Description:

I came out here to Independence Grove with TurtleFan today (4/23) and we had a nice time on our first visit here.

When we parked in the lot closest to this cache, there were two birds sitting nearby and as TurtleFan and I got closer, they got very excited. They spread there wings and made a very loud chirping sound.

When we finished our day caching about 4 hours later, the birds were still there. I was not familiar with this type of bird so I looked it up in a bird book I have and determined they were killdeers. From what I read, it sounds like they likely are protecting an egg. Just an unusual place for a nest.

Not sure if they still will be there when you find this cache but if they are, keep your distance. They looked serious!!!!

Here is how they reacted as we approached: GET OUT OF HERE!!!
