Welcome to Alexandra Battery which was completed in the 1860's. It was a good vantage spot with commanding views of any ship that tried to approach the "town cut" or the "Narrows" - the entrance to the harbour at St. George's..
It was initially armed with five 9- inch muzzle loading guns and then two 6- inch breech loading guns in the 1890's.
