Local legend has it that there used to be a very well know brothel around here about were the Highway now lies called The Buttery Nipple. In its heyday around the late 1800s, an adventurous traveler could find gambling, booze, wild women and random gunplay there. Ah, great times. Anyway, one day a gambling cheat named Green Eyed Dave rolled into town looking for an easy score. The card game started out good for Ole Dave, at least until that Ace fell out of his sleeve and hit the floor. I will not go into the gory details of what happened next, but if you look around this park long enough you will see for yourself. I have heard that you can find bones, loaded dice, counterfeit poker chips, marked cards and all kinds of other strange things scattered around this park. Even the Buttery Nipple can be found a mile or so to the Southeast of here. I can’t guarantee this story to be true, but there is so much evidence around this park it is hard to believe it is not.
