An unassuming little reserve, very much left to its own devices.
No development, and no intervention.
There is a track, of sorts, not too bad up to the cache site,
but gets very boggy in spots beyond this. It runs alongside the
Opanuku stream, which may offer some refreshing pools for a dip in
summer.
Safe parking is limited, the grass directly in front of the
reserve gets very boggy, may I suggest parking between the
Baha’i Faith driveway and the bridge.
Tree cover so bring your best GPSr’s, cache is a 1.2 l
systema just a few paces off the track.
