Geocache Description:

number 5 Cache in the Scarecrow Rog 10 Ring Of Fire caches on a beautiful 2-3 mile circuit with ten totally different types of container.

Now here's the thing; I'm a tad vexed with Folks putting EASY FIND on my caches so I'm placing this bad boy to give you all a hard time, cause this is what Scarecrows do innit ?

This is a fabulous walk very scenic with lots of wildlife circling the ruins of Hadleigh Castle.

FTF GSPLEO - VERY WELL DONE yeah right !

In the field next to the cache you can find lots of broken pottery this was household waste brought down from London to dump and build the railway. Thames sailing barges used to take bricks made on the Salvation Army farm over the old ruined bridge to the General William Booth jetty. The bricks went to build London, then the barges returned with horse manure and household waste, this was done with the help of a steam train on the jetty.

This field is still littered with brick and pottery and at harvest time the combine cut level has to be set at 12 inches because of the all the debris. In the days of steam trains the wheat was frequently set alight by sparks from the locomotive. This is now a vast area for growing winter wheat none of which is allowed by the Salvation army to be used in the brewing trade, [ not a lot of people know that ].

OK my Luvers *RIGHT HARD CLUES because I is very mean, difficulty 4 because you lot all give me a lot of trouble and frequent grief and terrain of 3.5 because of the hills on this circuit. The difficulty rating in these here parts possibly could be eased we shall see how I feel. .

Here you are ladies - The Scarecrow naked in the sun !
