Old Birchmore Hall Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

FourW: Despite driving past several times this week I was unable to replace the cache due to the pony club running a gymkhana there. Given it was my best chance in ages, I shall archive it as it just wasn't possible to replace the cache.
Thanks to all the previous finders for enjoying the search.

Geocache Description:

A simple drive-by / stop-and-search on the side of the South Coast Road.

My grandfather was a soldier settler on Kangaroo Island and lived just around the corner from this cache location. He was apparently quite active in the community and was instrumental in the construction of the Birchmore Hall in the 1950s
The hall is the current home of the Kangaroo Island pony club and has been developed into quite a considerable complex.
There is room to pull off the road safely, be careful coming back on the road, as other drivers can be going very fast on this part of the road.
Cache is a coffee tin wrapped in camo tape, with a generic pathtag for FTF and typical trinkets for swaps.
Not wheelchair friendly, sorry. EDIT: Increased terrain rating to 1.5
