Narrows Trail Crevasse
This cache is located along the "Narrows Rim" trail.
From Exit 89 on Interstate 40 travel south on New Mexico 117 for 21 miles until you get to "The Narrows" parking area and trail head at coordinates N34' 50.171 / W107' 54.709. The trail climbs and winds up the mesa for 3.8 miles where an awesome view of the La Ventana Arch. I have placed the cache as an incentive to go to the overlook.
The trail is well defined with rock cairns. Take your time and ensure you have the next cairn is sight before leaving the current one. Take plenty of water and a partner. The trail is rough and studded with rocks, but should be no problem for most people, even 10 year olds.
FTF gets a 1976 Drummer Boy quarter.
