THE STORY
There are 5 identical boxes hidden around the
city.
Each one contains an equal number of 10 playing cards
Each card is placed in an envelope, so everyone one is able to pick
freely one envelope and challange some luck in order to have a good
hand.
Your mission is to find the boxes and pick
1 (one only) envelope containing 1 (one only) card
from each box.
After completing the mission, you shall hold 5 (five only) cards,
actually your hand.
During a special event (the game), you shall bring your cards and
see if you hold the best poker hands of all the participants.
If you do, you will get the pot.
THE RULES
You are not obliged to play this game. If you do
not want to play the final game, you can just log the cache without
picking up any card.
Beware when cutting the envelope, you shall not destroy the
card.
If a player holds a card which is not in its original and proper
condition, that player shall be disqualified from the final
game.
Exchanging cards between players is, of course, strictly forbidden.
Anyone cheating shall be disqualified.
The cards are unique, trying to replace cards is, of course,
strictly forbidden. Anyone cheating shall be disqualified.
Log correctly! Each envelope is marked with 2 numbers (i.e. 2.4).
This means a player getting the envelope is getting the 4th card in
the 2nd box. You can participate to the Poker Run only if you
log the geocache and specify this unique number on the envelope on
your log! Not complying with this will get you disqualified. IN
ORDER TO BE VALID FOR THE GAME, YOU MUST BRING THE SEALED ENVELOPES
TO THE EVENT AND OPEN THEM IN FRONT OF THE OTHER
PLAYERS!
THE GAME
Second Tuesday of June during the regular group
hug in Bucharest (19.00 at Salt 'n Pepa), we shall meet and
challenge each one's hand during the actual game. As in each
serious poker game, the winner takes it all. So... the best hand
shall collect the pot (a special prize worth $$$ - sur-prize). Keep
low profile and do not exchange any information with other players
on the table.
The game shall allow participation of 10
geocachers in the poker run, initially, so you'd better hurry and
get your cards!
And remember, you are (and you have to be) on
your own...
