A beautiful location to walk, mountain bike or participate in water sports.
The views are tremendous and is indicative of Kent's finer beauty.
LOTS of muggles around.
Parking at Bewl Water is clearly signed and the cache is about 1.5km from the main car park and would recommend hunting this cache when you're visiting this wonderful location too, rather than specifically parking up for the cache - unsure if you can enter the park from other locations.
A great family day out. Wonderful walks around the resevoir with various activities around the year (see their website by Googling Bewl Water, Lamberhurst.
To find the cache, you'll need to walk across the resevoir wall to the other side of the lake from the restaurant and kiosks. About a 1km walk.
Buggy friendly if you stick to the path.
When you get near the location, you'll go through a wooden gate and the path continues to run along side the lake.
50 feet or so passed the gate, you'll need to head up into the wooded area, around 60 feet in.
The cache is hidden at the "hinge" end of a small fallen tree - obscured by other small branches.
You may need some sensible shoes and trousers. We hid this cache with flip flops and shorts - not the best idea with low nettles and other itchy things to find your bare skin!!
Kids love adventures in the woods - so enjoy!!
