The Phylosopher trail between Cademario and Arosio

The Philosophers trail starts at Cademario where the eye sweeps over the city of Lugano and the surrounding mountains, the Vedeggio Valley, the Gulf of Agno and south to Lombardy.
From Cademario-Liss, in the vicinity of the Cacciatori Hotel, follow the sign indicating Arosio, "Sentiero dei filosofi". The route passes close to the football field and leads into the woods of chestnut, birch and beech. The real reason why the founder of the Kurhaus Cademario, Dr. Keller, named this trail "Path of the philosophers" is not known, but you can easily imagine it, walking along this path immersed in the stillness and silence of nature.
The landscape around us is simple beauty: the Caroggio, small clearing in the valley of Magliasina, five characteristic villages immersed in the chestnut forests to guard the territory, all protected by the majestic arena formed by the Gradiccioli massive.
This comfortable and relaxing walk leads in a short time to the Cross of Arosio where the view sweeps across the High Malcantone and on the mountains joining the Lema and Tamaro mountains. In a few more minutes you can reach Arosio or return to Cademario following a different path.
About the Cache:
Park at the specified coordinates and walk along the indicated path. Up to a few meters from the cache, the path is also suitable for strollers. The last meters (after the junction) are a little more challenging. The cache is located a few meters from the path. Because of vegetation, the GPS signal may not be prefect, in this case used the "spoiler " photo. The cache is clearly visible when you are in the right place. The container contains the log, a pencil and space for Geocoins and other small items. Have fun.

Il sentiero dei Filosofi inizia da Cademario dove lo sguardo spazia sulla città di Lugano e le circostanti montagne, sulla Valle del Vedeggio, sul Golfo di Agno giù giù fino alla Lombardia.
Da Cademario-Lissone, nelle vicinanze dell'albergo Cacciatori, seguiamo il cartello che indica Arosio, "Sentiero dei filosofi". Il tracciato passa vicino al campo di calcio di Cademario e si inoltra nel bosco di castagni, betulle e faggi. Il vero motivo per cui il fondatore del Kurhaus Cademario, dottor Keller, chiamò questo percorso "Sentiero dei filosofi" non lo conosciamo; lo si può però immaginare percorrendo questo sentiero immerso nella quiete e nel silenzio della natura.
Il paesaggio che ci circonda è di una bellezza semplice: il Caroggio, piccola immensa radura racchiusa nella valle della Magliasina, cinque caratteristici villaggi inseriti nei boschi di castagno a guardia del territorio, il tutto protetto dalla maestosa arena formata dal massiccio dei Gradiccioli.
Questa comoda e rilassante passeggiata in poco tempo ci porta alla Croce di Arosio dove lo sguardo spazia su tutto l'Alto Malcantone e sulla catena di montagne che congiunge il Lema e il Tamaro. In pochi minuti raggiungiamo Arosio o possiamo ritornare a Cademario con un altro sentiero.
A proposito del Cache:
Posteggiate alle coordinate indicate e incamminatevi lungo il sentiero indicato. Il sentiero fino a pochi metri dal cache è adatto anche ai passeggini. Gli ultimi metri (dopo il bivio) sono un po' più impegnativi. Il cache si trova a pochi metri dal sentiero. A causa della vegetazione il segnale GPS potrebbe non essere perfetto, in questo caso utilizzate la foto “Spoiler”. Il Cache è comunque ben visibile quando si è al posto giusto . Il contenitore contiene il log, una matita e permette di inserire dei Geocoin e altri piccoli oggetti. Buon divertimento.
