Pipesy: Really sorry guys but as so many of this series have gone missing in the recent floods, I'm archiving the majority of them and just changing the names of a couple that are along another walk.

Hate to have to archive any caches but it might make way for something new but flood-proof later in the year.

Geocache Description:

Trent Bank Caching #8

You are searching for a silver bison tube again for cache #8.
You will need your own pen/pencil to sign the log.

From TBC #7, carry on along footpath, at the end turn right alongside the nature reserve, here is where your binoculars might come in to play, many birds and butterflies can usually be spotted along here.

Swan Lake, near cache #8

About the series:

The co-ordinates needed for the mystery bonus cache are placed in 10 of the 16 caches leading up to it and are in order of the way found reading left to right if you do the series in order:
N53°_ _._ _ _ W000°_ _._ _ _

If you do the complete 9.3 mile walk in one go I would expect it to take 5 to 6 hours depending on pace, caching skills and breaks, but if you would rather split it over two separate days there is an opportunity after cache #9 to leave down Westfield Lane and return to the same spot another day. Check the related web page above to see some of the areas you will be heading on the walk.

The 20 caches I have placed on the route vary, there are 11x small camouflaged pots, 3x bison tubes, 3x 2ml screw cap vials/tubes, 2x nano’s and 1x small clip-lock container.

Attributes are based on the whole walk and not just each individual cache, I have put on the attributes that dogs are allowed and in most places they will be fine but in a couple of places they may need carrying over a stile and at times may need to be kept on the lead. Tweezers will be needed to remove log books from bison tubes, vials and nano’s.

I would advise taking some binoculars and/or camera around the series of caches as there are a couple of scenic/wildlife viewing areas on the route, some areas around the walk have nettles around foot, I did it in shorts and got a few stings, socks might have been a good idea!

I would also advise you take a drink and a bite to eat, there are a couple of places convenient to sit for a while.
