thekidcacher: Not living in Fremont anymore so can't take care of these guys anymore. I'll leave them out, but I think about half are missing by now. Thanks for the fun.

Geocache Description:

A psychopath is on the loose! He’s escaped from the local asylum and the police have been looking everywhere for him. He’s been hiding using a little-known series of paths that connect these Fremont neighborhoods. Lucky for us, he’s a psycho; he insists on leaving caches behind wherever he goes.

We’ve figured out who he is, and now it’s your turn! Each cache holds a clue to his identity. Find all 8 caches in the series to collect all the clues. Decrypt them in number order to get his name, and unscramble them to get his secret message. When you get both, shoot us with an email including both in your message, and we will give you credit for the series find.

Keep in mind that the hider of these caches is a psychopath, so his thought processes are not always consistent. Be on the lookout for a variety of different types of hides, and don't be afraid to check in the most curious of locations. Unfortunately, he didn't leave behind any hints as to where each cache was hidden, so once you are at GZ you are on your own.

These caches are on paths that are highly convenient to the locals, as they connect several neighborhoods and lead to several different park areas. This series can be done entirely on foot or on a bike, which is highly recommended. Driving through and around each neighborhood to get to the next cache will prove to be much more time-consuming, but go at it as you will. As you may encounter many muggles and since many of the paths are in plain view of houses, please be sure to be respectful and stealthy during your investigation. Good luck!
