Rainforests, creeks, waterfalls & plenty of birds, all on an easy accessible track - what more could you want? Throw in an ammo can to hunt for as well, and I think you have the perfect way to spend an hour or so in Springwood.
Best access is from Lucinda Avenue, there is plenty of parking available near the trailhead.
Usually this track is easy to follow and safe for children. However with the rain we have had lately, it is slippery in places and there are parts where there is water across the path. So, if it's been raining, take care on the track.
GPSr reception is poor at GZ, so I have provided some photos to help. These are the view I had while sitting over the hide location. This isn't meant to be a difficult cache to find once you are in the right area, so please look at the photos and don't rely on your GPRs for this one.
After finding this cache you can continue on to Madeline Glen and enjoy the peaceful walk. There are five other traditional caches and an earthcache accessible from this track.
Public transport access: you can also access this track from Boland Avenue which is just across the GWH from Springwood railway station. Coordinates for the Boland Avenue trailhead are listed below.
As noted by the FTF Bikerbuddy - a torch would be a useful aid in locating this cache. I needed one when I placed it. And while I wouldn't recommend looking for this cache in the dark, if you do come here at the right time of day, you might see glowworms at GZ.
