A series of ten caches across Bathampton Down.
This is the first of ten caches across the down taking you over to the university and back. Overall time to go across and back would take approx two to two and a half hours.
The walk starts on the A36 Warminster road (opposite the bus stop near Bathampton lane), just south of Bathampton, at coordinates N51 23.509, W002 20.032. There are a few side roads providing places to park. If you aren't driving then the number 264/265 buses from the city will take you there.(Please check with Bath bus schedules that buses are running when you require them).
From the start coordinates head up the hill to the gate. Continue through the gate and the track will take you up to Bathampton down.
This hill is very steep so I have rated the terrain a 3 star. It can get muddy in the rain and is not buggy friendly.
The first part of this track is under tree cover so your GPS might play around. In case this happens here is a little extra help to find the location -

Congratulations to Jenny, James and Sophie for FTF.
To view a map of the walk open the large map. On the left is a menu, click on 'opencyclemap'. This will give you a colour-coded map of routes on Bathampton Down. Then print off the map.
