Geocache Description:


The cache is located at the grounds of the Gumly Gumly football oval. It is a micro so bring your own writing implement.

In 1958 Gumly Gumly had their own football team known as the Gumly Gorillas.

In 1959, they reformed and changed their name to East Wagga and competed in the Central Riverina Football League.

1977 saw the introduction of the Farrer Football League in which East Wagga then competed.

1980 - East Wagga FC merged with Kooringal Junior FC to form East Wagga-Kooringal FC.

1988-93 - East Wagga-Kooringal were known as the Hawks.

2004 - East Wagga-Kooringal FC changed name to Eastern Hawks FC.
