This cache is located in a nice place. Make sure to read the Bower Hill Historical sign! At least 5 other caches are in walking distance of this one, so you can make a nice day of the find!

Bower Hill site located near 292 Kane Blvd., Scott Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, on April 10, 2010.
The historical marker says, "Bower Hill - Site of Gen. John Neville's mansion, burned to the ground by insurgents during a major escalation of violence in the Whiskey Rebellion, July 16-17, 1794. Gen. Neville was Inspector of Revenue under President Washington. In the two-day battle, Neville with his slaves and a small federal detachment met a force of over 500 rebels. Two opposition leaders, Oliver Miller and James McFarlane, were killed. Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
