Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series of presidential caches.

These caches will come in a variety of sizes, difficulties and terrains.

They will be placed all across the area. Hopefully everyone will enjoy finding them.

Herbert Hoover was U.S. president number 31. He was born on August 10, 1874 in Iowa. He died on October 20, 1964. He became president on March 4, 1929, and was president until March 4, 1933 after serving one term in office. Hoover believed that the federal bureaucracy should have limited control over the country’s economic system. Therefore, one of his main goals entering office was to reform the nation’s regulatory system. During his administration the great depression set in. Unemployment went to almost 25%, drought caused severe problems in the Midwest, and over 5000 banks failed. His failure to win a second term was primarily due to the depression.

This cache is taking over a spot close to a recently archived one (which I was never able to find). It shouldn’t be too hard, except there could be muddy conditions at certain times. The terrain rating reflects the possibility of slippery, muddy conditions. When you find it, please rehide it at least as good as you found it. Good luck.
