Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden at the quietest end of the park but the whole park can get very busy when events are on or the sun is shining, if it is too busy please try again later. You are looking for a camouflaged 1.3l clip top container. The cache contains a logbook, pen, pencil and a few items to swap.

Victoria Park was formed on an area formally known as ‘The Marsh’. It was formally named Victoria Park in 1901 following the death of Queen Victoria.
Many of the original facilities were installed as part of the Newbury work scheme following WW1 with the Park being officially opened on the Silver Jubilee of King George V in 1935.
